that drop looks way bigger in real life (especially when you stand on the takeoff ;-) ) 
the fox 831 wasn't even close to being released back then and overall weight didnt seem to be the focus with this prototype since its not equipped with a ti spring...

He probably just had his stanchions andoized black like pegamixel I own a 2010 scott voltage fr 20. its sad that scott's prices for the `11 and `12 voltages went up a bit ( i paid 1650 euros for my `10). the only thing that bugs me about it is that they did not spec it with a traveladjustable domain 302 (or 318) which would maybe have risen the price by about 50 bucks, cause now I'm thinking about getting a new fork... the district ride is in Nuernburg not Nuremberg I have a kona hoss deluxe from '03, on which i have been riding my local Freeride and downhill trails up to may 2010 (when i got my new bike) and i even took it to bikeparks on several occasions and it has'nt snapped yet (it only has a tiny dent in the top tube but thats not from riding it) 
try building a trail all alone because your the only active rider in your area...
it's quite depressing espacially when there where 20+ people where riding on the weekends at our (or now its more like mine) local sport and after the jumps got torn down/built smaller by some dumb kids 
i thought abour buying that bike when i was in france but the rear suspension is very rough and the bike doesn't corner very well (compared to the scott voltage fr) 
why are you posting pics of bong parts online? 
dont do that at a wordlcup in germany (if there is one) you wont sell any.
